Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB Pune) was established in 1992. The institute is a constituent institute of Symbiosis International University (SIU). Earlier, SIIB Pune was named Symbiosis Institute of Foreign Trade (SIFT), later the name from Symbiosis Institute of Foreign Trade (SIFT) changed to Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB). SIIB Pune is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The vision of SIIB Pune is to promote international understanding through quality education. The mission of SIIB Pune is to contribute towards knowledge generation and dissemination, promote ethical and value-based learning to the students, develop the spirit of national development and produce leaders for the society
